“Our a.c. had been limping along all summer, we had called the orange truck guys about a month ago. A guy came out, looked at the unit outside and looked inside. He told us we “probably needed freon” but since it was frozen he wanted to wait until the next day to look at it (and charge us another $95 service charge). He had to go back to the shop so I sprayed off the unit with the hose and ran the heater for 5 minutes to thaw it out. He came back and saw it was thawed out and then thought the problem was a dirty filter. He wanted to sell us a filter but I opted to go get my own. So I paid $100 for “probably dirty filter and maybe needs freon”. So we just dealt with the heat until we couldn’t anymore.
Then we called Unger’s. They were out that day. Within an hour, as a matter of fact. Sam was not only a courteous professional but also extremely knowledgeable. He went straight to the problem and was almost embarrassed that the other guys missed such an obvious problem. Sam was a true professional. Unger’s service is top notch.
